About Me
"At Shaanti Minds, my practice is rooted in the concept of shaanti—a deep, inner stillness. I provide a secure environment where you are invited to gently observe and acknowledge whatever arises, entirely at your own pace." I am a fully qualified psychotherapist and counsellor dedicated to helping adults navigate bereavement, emotional distress, and various life transitions. Beyond my private practice, I have spent over a decade in education and care, supporting neurodivergent individuals and those from diverse cultural backgrounds. This experience has reinforced my certainty that every person's journey is deeply personal. I approach every session with innate warmth and kindness. It is my firm belief that every individual deserves a dedicated space to speak, to be heard, and to feel truly respected and understood as a whole human being. This ethos is the cornerstone of my professional work. Having grown up in a large family, I understand how relational dynamics and transgenerational experiences can influence our connection to ourselves and others. I recognise that our identities are often shaped within these family systems; exploring these patterns is frequently a transformative step towards healing and clarity. I have specialist experience in supporting those through loss—including suicide bereavement and complex trauma—as well as helping people manage emotional pain during difficult periods. I value the roles of open communication and emotional literacy in understanding how our history impacts our present. Reliability, trust, and sensitive pacing are the pillars of my practice. You are welcome to share what feels right when you are ready, with the freedom to slow down and explore in a way that feels safe. Our time together is calm, consistent, and focused on your needs. "The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change." — Carl Rogers
